February 2006 - Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's Top Hand Horse Show

Morning Glory Ranch had another successful trip to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's Top Hand Horse Show. Our reining Princess, Kristen Lesak, was led by Steve Mack, to 4th place in Western Equitation, a 6th place trophy in barrels. Kristen, along with her best friend “BUDDY”, a 17yr Western Pleasure Champion Paint horse, were competing in an independent riders only class for the first time and they were tremendous. She and “BUDDY” competed with such bravery and confidence.

Our veteran rider, Joel Freese, took the saddle again on "Dusty" and brought home a 6th place trophy in Western Equitation. Led by Kim Mack he placed 1st place in barrels and was awarded a beautiful gold & silver belt buckle.

Our newest star, Rebecca Janish took home a 4th place trophy in Western Equitation, a 2nd place trophy in barrels, and a 6th place tropy in Trail.

A special thanks to our parents, the Freese's, the Janish's, and the Lesak's who spent an enormous amount of time creating and decorating our stalls.
